About the Group

Russian National Group of IABSE is a non-profit community of like-minded professionals who are members of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE).
The Association's goal is the exchange of knowledge and the advancement of structural engineering practice worldwide for the benefit of the profession and society. IABSE is concerned with all aspects of bridge and structural engineering: the science and art of planning, design, construction, operation, monitoring and inspection, maintenance, rehabilitation and preservation, demolition, and dismantling of structures, while considering technical, economic, environmental, aesthetic, and social aspects.

Objectives of the National Group

Studying

international best practices in bridge and structural engineering for their subsequent implementation.
Informing

the global community about modern Russian achievements in bridge engineering and enhancing its national prestige.
Collaborating

with other national groups of the Association to implement joint scientific and technical projects.
Initiating

scientific and technical projects based on a collective analysis of global advancements in bridge engineering.
